about us

We are a -- roll up your sleeves -- get out there -- busy new company. We believe in the positive impact of seeing one’s self on film being successful in a new skill or ability...as a potent tool for bringing change to individual people, teams and families. We believe in our human brain’s potential to capture that new vision and to create new pathways for learning and performance.

New Ability Productions is growing fast. We see applications of PollyMovies™ just about everywhere!

PollyMovies™ are profoundly helping individuals move forward toward their goals, while building self confidence & self determination...and we also see PollyMovies™ as providing new learning tools for...

  • families -- to enhance healthy communication, relationships & cohesion...to capture family stories, songs or skills from your family elders & cultural heritage

  • teachers -- to target new & developing pivotal skills and behaviors that may be resistant to change, or for which a new, personalized intervention may be needed

  • therapists -- to strengthen targeted outcome skills in physical, behavioral, or language/speech centered abilities...whether they are developing new skills or recovering lost/diminished skills from an injury, surgery, or addiction

  • care teams -- to capture procedures, routines & transitions for providers and family members, to enrich independence, and to explore new abilities across environments

  • coaches -- to review ‘best performance’ skills...to focus on what’s right & less on errors

Pollymovies™ can be viewed at times of anxiety, stress or challenge... to assist with training or retraining, cueing, or prompting for the focus person or team member...towards the target skill or behavior. PollyMovies™ support & enhance, but do not replace direct instruction and therapeutical assistance.

Growing New Ability Productions & creating PollyMovies™ integrates and synthesizes my work passion of the last thirty years as a special education teacher, facilitator-trainer, life coach & mediator....and creatively expresses my core belief that all people deserve opportunities to develop their individual potential and interests. Alaska has been my home for the last 25 years.

Colleen, age 79, had fallen and broken her upper femur. She was very worried about falling again, and lacked confidence in her strength to walk and move about. She very much wanted to live independently again.
