Training

It is our purpose and passion to share this powerful intervention with others. We greatly enjoy opportunities to discuss and imagine the application of PollyMovies™ across a wide variety of settings and needs....and want to reach out to teach & support you with learning the skills yourself.

Direct Training

For a hands-on, highly interactive learning experience, New Ability Productions is offering a full day on-site training for up to 20 participants. Our goal is to directly teach the core skills of producing a PollyMovie,™ -- from beginning to end-- with the outcome of a completed video. Each participant will learn to:

• assist the focus person & their team in identifying the target skill or behavior
• understand the importance of & how to design pre- and post- intervention data forms
• design an effective filming sequence or storyboard
• create powerful additions to the movie (titles, transitions, sound, music, visual elements)
• format & edit selected scenes into a pleasing visual flow and overall design
• discover effective ways to share the finished movie with the focus person
• create a meaningful viewing schedule for the PollyMovie™

Full day training cost is $1500 US, plus travel expenses. Participants will be working in small learning groups of 2-3 individuals & each group will need full day use of a simple digital video camera and laptop computer with video-editing software. (Participants must already be proficient in camera and software use.)

New Ability Productions provides training materials, one day of direct instruction and 30 days of email & phone coaching & support for all participants.
